Australia’s First Stressless Award Winner
Sears Morton has received the inaugural Jens Ekornes Achievement Award for an Australian dealership.
This is the first time an Australian retailer has received this award from the prestigious Scandinavian Furniture manufacture.
Sears Morton has been selling the well known Stressless recliners now for over 20 years & has seen Australia embrace the Nordic Design.
Manager of Sears Tony Ayres remembers his first cold trip to Norway on his own and returning with a product that his clients didn’t immediately warm too.
As the gallery of 20 seats developed into 50 seats it became clear Norway was going to become a regular destination.
Last year 30 dealers visited Norway from around Australia ,things have grown from an experimental market phase to an established market & with the continued support from both dealer & Ekornes this should continue.
Sears Morton see this award as a true representation of the partnership that they have developed with a furniture manufacture in the Fjords of Norway
